Business Continuity Management Training in November 2012
A three-day Complete Continuity Training was conducted from 27th to 29th November 2012 at the Blanche Birger training venue in Port Louis. The course was delivered by Mr. Pete Frielinghaus, Member of the Business Continuity Institute who is also a Senior Consultant at ContinuitySA, our South-African specialist partner in the BCM field. As with the previous sessions, our delegates were from different institutions and industry sectors of Mauritius which consisted of banking institutions, para-statal bodies, consultancy and telecommunication companies amongst others.
The agenda was as follows:
- Introduction to BCM
- BCM Drivers and Standards
- Management Practices of the BCM Lifecycle
Technical Practices of the BCM Lifecycle with practical exercises focusing on understanding the organisation and determining BCM strategy.
Technical Practices of the BCM Lifecycle with practical exercises focusing on developing and implementing a BCM response and exercising,maintaining and reviewing along with measuring BCM in your organisation.

Overall,the enthusiasm and interest of the attendees was exceptional and the event proved to be a very successful one.
